-In the 2D animation course, students learn how to create and manipulate 2D vector images, animate them over time using keyframes, and create scenes and interactions between their own custom characters, all while implementing the 12 principles of animation

-In the 3D animation course, students learn how to create 3D meshes and modify their geometry, animate them over time using keyframes, stage scenes using lighting and cameras, apply materials to their meshes, and much more

Game Development

Negative World - Unity 5 - 2018

-Negative World is a side-view puzzle platformer where players must complete levels with an understanding of mathematical operations and a limited number of jumps. Find out more about the game by visiting the official Negative World Steam page!

-Tested gameplay and mechanics, provided feedback to improve it, and debugged code.

-Designed a rating system to measure two factors of each level: Mechanical Difficulty (how hard it is for players to navigate the level physically), and Conceptual Difficulty (how complex the puzzles of the level are to comprehend). Using this rating system, the levels were re-ordered to ensure the smoothest difficulty curve possible over the course of the game.

Battlesloths 2025: The Great Pizza Wars - Unity 5 - 2017

-Responsible for programming weapon functionality, implementing audio and animations, etc for PAX South 2017 Alpha release.

Space Race- Starside Engine v 1.0 - 2015-2017

-Space Race is an arena multiplayer FPS developed in my proprietary Starside Engine v 1.0. Space Race features local split screen and online TCP/IP multiplayer, multiple maps and weapons, etc. Find out more about the game by visiting the official Space Race game page!

-Responsible for all game programming (player and game systems, physics, network code, etc), designed all art assets (maps, meshes, textures, etc), recorded and mixed all game audio (including recording gun tapes at a firing range), created all UI systems and elements, etc.

Starside Engine v 1.0 (SSE) - Game Maker: Studio - 2014-2015

-Developed in Game Maker: Studio, the Starside Engine (SSE) is a custom built 3D engine created to unlock the hidden potential of 3D development in Game Maker

-Responsible for programming of all engine systems including: custom 3D animation, bone, and rigging system, dynamic particle engine, 3D AI and pathfinding, 3D physics and collision detection, dynamic GUI system with multiple layers and hierarchies, variable engine and physics simulation speed, TCP/IP multiplayer functionality, game state saving/loading and file handling, and much more.

Fallen Grid - Game Maker: Studio - 2015

-Fallen Grid is a retro style space shoot 'em up that blends the visual style and the difficulty of classic arcade games with modern design concepts and mechanics, resulting in a smooth and challenging bullet hell shooter experience. Find out more about the game by visiting the official Fallen Grid Steam Greenlight page!

-Responsible for creation of many 2D graphics and assets, miscellaneous programming work, usability and mechanics testing, etc.

Hunted- Game Maker 8.1 - 2011

-Hunted is a wave-based FPS developed in Game Maker 8.1. Players are tasked to survive waves of increasingly deadly dinosaurs and are awarded resupply air drops after each wave is cleared. All maps present different terrain and natural hazards, from murky swamps to erupting volcanoes that decimate everything in their path, regardless of species.

VOLT- Game Maker 8.1 - 2010

-VOLT is an arena shooter developed in Game Maker 8.1. All game play mechanics and objectives revolve around the consumption and application of electricity. Players may choose from 4 different robot classes, each with their own weapons and abilities, and fight enemy bots across 5 unique maps in a variety of game modes in a never ending quest for power.
